Nigerian Singer, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, has confirmed the end of his relationship with his British girlfriend, Cocainna.
The ‘Of Lagos’ crooner revealed that he is currently single and explained that he and Cocainna decided to part ways because their relationship didn’t work out. Despite the breakup, Mayorkun expressed that he still maintains a friendly relationship with the British model.
Mayorkun discussed these developments during a recent interview on Cool FM Nigeria, hosted by reality star Tacha. He clarified that he is no longer in a relationship, and when asked about the split with Cocainna, he attributed it to life taking its course but emphasized that they remain on good terms.
The artist also shared insights about his music, describing it as “Afro fusion.” He expressed his belief in the versatility of his music, always incorporating an afro influence. Mayorkun professed his love for African music and his pride in his African heritage.
Closing the interview on an optimistic note, Mayorkun expressed his excitement about the future and the opportunities it holds. He refuted claims of being fixated on dating London girls, explaining that his frequent presence in the city contributed to such perceptions. He affectionately stated that “nothing special but London has my heart.”
